22 and severe diffuse thinning. Second shed question

Hi - I'm 22 with very noticeable patterned diffuse loss. About 7 months ago I started consistent minoxidil/finasteride use. My shed at that point comprised thin, very light, miniaturized hairs.

A month or two ago I began experiencing another serious shed. This time, however, the hairs I'm shedding are much thicker and darker. Is this a positive or negative sign? I have no idea what to make of this and I'm wondering when this shed will end...
