Whats this about Ziering being somehow connected with this? It was mentioned in "Something new" thread.

To be honest I am really suspicious about this. I really am. Sounds too much like snake oil to me. The testimonials are plain suspicious (most of the time they are not). I mean how the hell can we know if any of them are actually true. And those small pictures, some of the hair in the after pics to me looks like it was treated with nanogen or similar products.

Sure a lot of us can argue that the trial results of Aderans, Replicel or Histogen were not 'good enough' but at least they were honest ('well a lot more hoenst').

My background as a critical care surgeon dealt in detail with nutrition and nutritional deficiencies. From the research I've seen from Biologix, they have identified a nutritional deficiency in the hair follicle that allows it to remain dormant and produce poor quality hair. In the studies that were done in South America in patients with Androgenetic Alopecia and Alopecia Areata, the results appeared promising in the area of hair maintenance. Like all of you, I am a scientist and await hard data. It is presently on my website, because from all of the science that I have read about it, I agree with it in principle.

Basically, it is an injection that contains a vasodilator and an anti-inflammatory agent and several targeted nutrients for the hair follicle. At this point, I am not even sure what the exact formula is. The product is seeking FDA approval in the United States and that application and approval process won't be completed until at least 2016.

As you all know, they have appointed Craig Ziering, DO head of their advisory board and he brings with him a wealth of experience in regenerative hair medicine.

Dr Yates, I second this question. As I understand one of their offices are in Toronto? When could this treatment potentially be available to administer in Canada?

It is my understanding it will not be available in Canada for the next 2- 5 years depending on the outcome of the studies.

It appears the injections will need to be repeated every 6-8 months after the initial injections. I know that the active ingredient is not minoxidil but the action does sound similar.

Like you, I wish they would hurry up!
