Hats are for the insecure. Unless you're outdoors.

Never wear them indoors, they'll become your crutch.

Yeah, sure. You can wear a hat whenever you want, and ***** anyone that says otherwise.

But it will likely make you insecure. And you(one)'ll likely use it as a crutch in social situations.

Did you really make a thread about wearing a hat? Do you bro, be a leader. Who cares what other people say.

I agree, clandestine. I used to wear hats occasionally when I went out but then I just felt inhibited when I wore them. Now I almost never wear a hat when I go out anymore. And I can't wear them for my IT job (office job). But I know people who play in bands or hang out at bars who ALWAYS wear hats. I dunno, but I feel like that kind of inhibits a person and if you always wear a hat, people begin to suspect that you may be losing your hair. The only time I wear hats is when I'm watching my American football team at the bar and in that scene it's widely accepted since lots of other people are wearing hats and other gear to support their team. Bottom line, I just can't be a prisoner to a hat.

Fine, so long as you're admitting you're dependent.

The hat is your drug baud, when you're feeling weak. It's your crutch.
If you're okay with that, then that's fine.

I know someone who has worn a hairpiece for so long, I don't remember him ever being without one. Talk about being hooked on covering up hair loss. It's one of those that is so dense that you can't see the scalp at the part, even up close. Ball caps are uncomfortable, but I can't imagine how miserable a hair piece must be to wear day in and day out. It's my understanding one has to glue those on. When you take it off, it must rip out whatever hair a person has left on top. Ball caps are uncomfortable in my experience. I enjoy wearing a bandanna. They are extremely comfortable, and protect your head from overexposure to the sun.

If a hat makes you feel better, and more confident, I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing it. In our lives, we meet many people for just one or few times. If you think they would treat you better if they don't see your bald head, then I think its fine to wear a hat.
