I can't do it man. Baldness is simply worse than wearing an undetectable wig in my mind. I would literally tell people my hair is fake before walking around with NW6. Objectively it just looks better and I think some of you guys are just not thinking out of the box. Women wear makeup, get hair extensions etc. who gives a ****?

My ex girlfriend used to fit hair systems, this was like 9 or 10 years ago, she styled them and cut them. I actually remember talking to a guy in the salon, I didn't realise at the time that he was there for maintenence, I honestly couldn't tell. So yeah, they can work.

Why havent they found a way to kill the androgen (DHT) receptors in the scalp?
Why the **** are they even there?????? I can understand the prostate - but the f%&**& scalp?!?!???

No one, indeed, beacuse all this is much more accepted for women. You know, the beautiful gender etc. They are meant, by the current societal stereotypes, to take care of themselves and remain attractive, no matter what or how. This is considered to be a female trait, so it is normal (in this context) that it is much less tolerated on men.

I don't know. But no one can answer the question what would happen with today's engineering know-how if there was a strong motivation to manufacture next-generation hair systems for men.
Imagine if you could walk into such a salon, get the specialist merge your existing sparse hair on your bald spots (or giant spot for NW7 guys ) with a revolutionary hair system, go out and be able to do any activity, and come back after six months or more to get a replacement; with completely natural look and feel; and reasonable price per year.
Unfortunately there is no such motivation because wearing a hair system is not considered manly. Plus, it is still used around in any kind of joke.

Agree with what you say apart from them being cheap. The salon ones are bloody expensive!

I know. That part was rather wishful thinking from my part. It would be feasible though in the future if the technology advances and becomes efficient.

I just found something interesting:
What is Hair Replacement?
I have no idea if it is legit. They talk about restoring your hair by attaching natural hair on the bald(ing) spots by using a proprietary technology. They propose also gradual hair increase so that you can go relatively unnoticed. It looks like a variant of a hair system.
What guys do you think? Has anyone tried anything similar here?

Hm, I see that they have also lasercomb. Tell me I am wrong but my confidence about it dropped instantly below zero.

So true

So true.
That's what is all about.
No need of messing up with hormones in the whole body.
I'm afraid it will take some more time.
As long as the science community still thinks of baldness as a simple dimorphism (which it is) not to be taken care of, we will always have imprecise treatments, side effects, scams, etc.
