Default Pilofocus + Dr. Nigam = Higher Yeild of donor doubling?

    http://www.drcarloswesley.com/scarless_surgery.html

From what Spencer Kobren has claimed, Pilofocus which is being developed by Dr. Carlos Wesley has the same yeild and transection rates as a STRIP FUT procedure.

I hate to say it but, FUE has a much lower yeild rate than FUT, which is what Dr.Nigam is currently using to extract hair follicles.

If this is the case would using Pilofocus to extract hair follicles increase the success rate of Dr. Nigams donor doubling? (i.e. instead of 70% donor doubling, it would increase to 90%+)

    For reference (FUE vs FUT)

Edit: Pilocfocus should be available by around October 2013(right after the ISHRS meeting)

Pilofocus will be huge success only if dr nigams hair doubling fails,

btw it is a step in the right direction and it was about time, for fk sake it is 2013 and people are still getting strip scars

Is dr Wesley going to share his technique free of charge or? Any details on that

How much will pilofocus grafts cost?

If I remember hearing correctly, Spencer said that Carlos Wesley would reveal his method at the ISHRS 2013 in San Fransisco.

Anyone can use the technique, but apparently the tool he developed for extraction is currently undergoing FDA approval, and should be approved before the end of 2013.

Im not to sure about the price per graft.

Guys, you will be surprised when you see just how IMPRESSIVE Dr Wesley's accomplishments ARE using his new technique with the instrumentation that he developed.
I would not confuse it with what Nigam is doing or not doing.
Current standard FUE surgery , although good, on average does not yield the same amounts as do FUTs.
Dr Wesley's method just may be a game-changer. His method of FUE currently being developed can provide the same yield or better than a standard FUT.
I was lucky enough to have had a Skype discussion with Dr Wesley just as Spencer had. It is truly amazing to see..on October 2013 (San Fran')
the Dr will make have presentation ! I look forward to it.

    Arista,

Did Dr. Wesley develop this technique with donor regeneration as a goal, or is
    it a possible by product?

    Thanks!

I believe in dr Wesley, he comes across as honest type of guy, ..no smoke and mirrors.
the fact that spenc was impressed is awesome as that guy doesn't get impressed easily.

Imagine HT with H&W yield and no scars with possibility to harvest more grafts outside safe zone.

How many grafts can be transplanted in one session?

Good question "TheSwingingGate"..based on the discussion that Dr Wesley and I had, the main goal is to provide the greatest yields for patients like that of strip methods without using the strip method. I feel that donor hair regrowth is a bi-product ,maybe not unintentional. I cant speak for Dr Wesley, Im only reporting my point of view without divulging too much.
Ill say this though "TheSwingingGate" , the WAY in which his technique works to extract grafts from the donor area makes it VERY POSSIBLE for hair regeneration and regrowth. There is a little more to this topic that I cannot talk about and Im sorry for that, I wish I could.
Id like to add this, Dr Wesley is very sincere. He is a good man with great goals.
I was very impressed during our hour long discussion and presentation.

Hi didi , Keep in mind that he is still developing and refining this amazingly new procedure of his. I am CONFIDENT that this will eventually change the way HTs are done for a good portion of hair loss sufferers who are good candidates for a HT. So, yes i too will go for Dr Wesley's treatment!! Of course, once one of or all of the companies dedicated to Regenerative Sciences for Hair actually provides the first VIABLE treatment to recover a full head of hair , well you know which road everyone will go down.. thanks didi
