medical conditions linked to hair loss
Hey everyone, after reading some of your posts on here I wanted to put together a basic list of medical conditions that are common and many people suffer from which may directly be linked to your hair loss. If you have these conditions you should seek proper treatment for them:
- alopecia- common autoimmune disease which is usually dependant on genetic factors
- scarring alopecia- causes scarring under the scalp and can often lead to scar tissue replacing the hair follicles
- thyroid conditions- an underactive or overactive thyroid gland can affect your hair and make it brittle and dry
- lupus- disease leading to organ tissue inflammation and in some users can result in permanent hair loss. People with lupus generally see the hairline around the temples becoming affected
What other common diseases can you think of that are linked to hair loss?

Side effects from over using the forum may include: Frustration, desperation, high blood pressure, extreme disappointment, countless wasted hours, boredom, depression and a sense of hopelessness.

External Stress Caused By:
1) Dermatologists who claim to specialize in hair loss, only to reveal during the patients appointment that they have less knowledge then the patient.
2) Searching the web for documented and sourced reports on treatments for MPB, only to find hundreds of undocumented and unsourced opinions with no two alike.
