Tough question, both suck.
I was extremely short until last year, and was always teased for my height. I hit a major growth spurt, now everyone asks me to get shorter (in a joking manner), because height-wise I'm now average. I thought life couldn't get better, and for one month it was perfect, until I realized hair loss. 1 month of a perfect life, and now I'm back to this... life keeps screwing me over.
I'd say after the age of 25 I'd rather be bald then short (unless we're talking dwarf-like short, then obviously I'd rather be bald). I'm talking about short in the way that you get teased about by friends, not the way that makes bystanders stare and point at you. Before 25, I'd rather be a short then bald.
Having experience both though, I'd say overall, shortness is worse. It takes so much out of you- I'll never forget the days were I spent days looking for ways to get taller and spending those anxious moments measuring myself, hardheartedly congratulating myself on growing half a centimeter, when the only that grew was my hair.

Yeah I say being short is worse. If your tall and have a big frame girls you can just shave it and be perfectly fine.

Does this describe you?
"The phenomenon of appearing overly aggressive or assertive. This may be a reaction after repeatedly suffering height discrimnation (heightism) in the workplace, in relationships with women, or elsewhere during socialisation."
Quoted from Urban Dictionary.
If so, you are 5'4. Or less.
Can't act tough when you are frontin' vs someone and looking up at them.

This ^ That's the thing about hairloss - somebody short has never known what it's like to be tall. The thing about baldness is that it is slow torture - watching your hair disappear while others remain unaffected.
I'm 6'3", and I never really thought about it much, unless I was flying long haul in economy, then I'd think about it, you can't help it when you won't fit in the seat, but it's only when you come online that everyone seems to talk about height. I read in a book called 'The Red Queen' (it's about human sexual behaviour, very interesting) that the one golden rule of dating agencies, even pre-internet, is "make sure that he is taller than her". Some women are into tall guys, it is an advantage, but equally I think a lot of ladies aren't bothered. I even dated a girl who was around 5'1" (I like petite girls), and she didn't like how tall I was, said it made her feel like a shrimp, and she usually liked guys she dated to be in the 5'3" - 5'8" range.

The footballer you refer to is Lionel Messi and he is still short, as for which one is worse, Justin Beiber is a short guy but has confidence and hair, i bet he wouldn't swap hair for height

Well I can say the opposite for the likes of Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a The Rock) and Vin Diesel. No way they are gonna trade their height for more hair!

I am 6 foot 2... and I don't enjoy the feeling when I am walking with a guy 3 plus inches taller than me, that might be because I am not used to it.
Not sure, obviously balding is easier to treat, I am on fin now, if I got a HT for 7k, I would have hair again.
From what I understand limb lengthing surgery only adds a few inches, and can effect you walking.

Hey Jax. I am not 6ft 2. In fact, I am not even quite 6 ft. I guess when you are tall , having a taller guy around is intimidating because its so rare.
For me, lots of guys are taller than I am my whole life . But now, women are getting so tall that a few are now as tall as I am!!!
I still remember the first time I talked with a girl who was taller than I was. She must have been 6 ft 2 herself. It was uncomfortable but for her it was nothing.

Well you are saying "short", but Messi is 5' 7", which is not classified as "short", yes it's short if you live around NBA players, or every single man around you is over 6'. But that's not the case, Soccer is very diversified in height and it's a sport where "short" athletes excel in, he definitely is not the shortest Soccer player ever either. There's been great soccer players that were 5' 1" - 5' 5". Any way 5' 7" is probably far better than what he would have been if he hadn't treated his growth hormone deficiency.
Bieber is also 5' 7" which is not too far off average height of 5' 9" and he is still a teenager so he can grow a couple more inches.
