Just turned 20 with hair like im 40??
Well first off i noticed my hairline was receding about a year ago but chose to wait it out instead of jumping on propecia. The feels of realizing i was losing my hair so you g hit hard and my first semester of college was rougher than expected. I did go see multiple derms who all gave me scripts for fin, I was terrified after reading stories all over the internet about guys who could never get an erection again or had permanent hormone problems.
So now a year later I'm about to turn 20 and my hairline had turned to shit i can no longer cover my temples and I'm willing to give propecia a shot!
I would start with 0.5 mg's a day. But i have a few questions..
Am i too young to start propecia?
What are my chances of developing permanent side effects?
How bad is my hairline now? and how much is it possible to save?
It it too late to save and i should just shave? At 20!?

You actually have a decent amount of hair, so not you should not just shave. Get on propecia and rogaine. Have you ever tried to rock some bangs instead of the push back look?

Hardly hair like your 40. ******ig hyperbole, much.
Get on Propecia, or don't. Research side effects before committing.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I was in that exact position ~6 months ago. Couldn't endure watching my hair deteriorate any longer; had to get on the pill.
OP, just do what everyone is suggesting. If you ignore your hair loss, it might continue to get worse. Research finasteride yourself, then go see a derm and have them do precautionary things like blood work.
Point is: if you're going to do something about it, do something about it right away. I sat around and watched my hair get worse for months out of fear of fin, and I regret that. If you don't want to risk sides and choose not to seek treatment, understand the potential consequences.
Best luck.

You can try Propecia you are the age for it, also minox and a keto shampoo like RegenePure, add in a multi vitamin and you will be fine. Your loss is not even more then NW2 for now anyways. It looks the same as old pics just longer.
If you want to try somethinga little more time consuming and tad more expensive but without sexual sides, use RU in place of propecia, its an anti androgen like fin but applied topically.
There are also much better options and treatments coming to the market soon including a possible cure.

Lighten up, bro. Your hair looks fine. I can't tell you what the stats are on Propecia, but I CAN tell you I've been on it for 14 years (I'm 43) and still have sex with my girlfriend just fine, sometimes for hours. My GUESS (I'm an engineer, not a doc), is that Propecia will keep your hair good for years and if it turns for the worse, there's multiple treatments coming out anyways. It's not like it's 1950 and no one had a clue what causes it and how to solve it.

How well has it worked for maintaining your hairline? Or did you use minoxidil as well?
