a question for those who had HST
As you all know, i had my HST almost 9 months ago and im pretty satisfied with the recovery, recipient area growth, cosmetic improvement, and donor lack of scaring. Now, ever since i had my HST I sport the buzzcut (grade 2 on top and 1 on sides and back, this has been my prefered haircut even before HST). I recently decided to let my hair grow just for a little change and i notice the transplanted hair is kinda sticking up a bit, while the native hair lays flat downward.
Anybody experinced that ? Do transplanted hair need more time to be fully mature and take the final shape ? Or the direction of transplanted hair was done different ?

Hi,
Yes mine is similar when at the in-between stage between cropped and longer.

You had an HST or traditional HT ?
Also what happens when the hair gets longer ?

HST. When hair gets longer it's more controllable.

Is the transplant facing uniform direction?
Are they straight? Are they as thick as the original donor?

Yes, but as aim4hair posted they seem to project slightly more vertically compared to the native hair at a certain point in growth. The new hair is straight and as thick as the surrounding hair, but possibly more singles.
