Sorry about hijacking your thread along with chrisis.

My advice would be to consult with Feller and True and Dorin, both in NY.

What exactly do you mean, stop digging?

I must have missed whatever you think you accomplished in this debate.

Let's hope that the individual did not just give up and lose interest.

If you give up after 3 pages of posts discussing surgery options, then you're not ready for surgery.

This topic was posted in a subforum about hair transplants, so discussions around hair transplant options are kindof inevitable and should be encouraged.

Sometimes the emotions and frustrations from our hairloss along with sorting out the endless information, we need a break from it all.

Sometimes when an individual says they give up they really are saying, "I need to get away from this for awhile".

Then after a break and much reflection, things can begin to make more sense again.

    Just a thought.

    Default I agree

Price should NEVER be a strategy when it comes to something like this. And to travel to Europe literally makes zero God forsaken sense! You get what you pay for in life. Open up your wallet and stop being cheap. You sound like one of those women that gets but implants but wants the most inexpensive route then their ass blows up!

I also think that being as close to your doctor and clinic as possible is preferable in case of some sort of complication and for followups. Unfortunately there are so few good doctors out there that this is not always possible, so this is why I agree that traveling to the best doctor for you , not just based on lowest price is reasonable.

Paying a lot doesn't guarantee quality. It's not about being cheap, it's about trying to find a competent clinic (they can be hard to find). And then planning for multiple surgeries, which can cost a small fortune (almost nobody can get just one hair transplant, and doesn't need more).

In my case, I paid $36,000 for FUE with a "recommended" American doctor ($8 per graft, 4500 grafts, three days of mixed BHT and FUE) and I had ZERO results. Maybe it wasn't expensive enough?

Compared to other types of cosmetic surgery, hair transplants are very overpriced, and IMO very often the results are lousy and not worth paying a penny for.
