Dabbed some on this morning with my finger as I was scared that the grafts may get caught in the cotton wool pad. Seems to be ok. I will have another go this evening along with the first shampoo application.

Great write up - congrafts!
After 5 days the grafts are pretty safely in there, so dont worry too much. Simply respect the HT and try be patient - Mother nature is the ultimate healing agent.
Keep well hydrated and eat well rest up and this anxious time will soon pass.
Heal and grow well.

LOL congrafts!
Cheers Spex, good to know they are pretty well attached at this early stage.
I will use the cotton wool pads this evening.
Thanks

Cheers jairus so far so good. Very jealous, look forward to seeing your progress. What have you done re work off and time off etc. Have you kept it secret or have you told everyone?
-
Kipper - yep I will be posting pics in a few days.
With regards to the time off etc, I have taken this week off so I am back in next Mon. To be honest Im amazed by how quickly I am healing. You will see the proof in a few days, but the extraction sites are no longer visible in the donor area and the recipient area looks really good also. I have minimal shock loss around the sides and a bit right at the back but its negligible. I have told my family members and one close friend. Nobody cared. I think in this day and age its becoming more readily accepted. I honestly don't think anyone will notice I have had work done when I return to work.

I agree. I had mine done 6 months ago and the people I told didnt blink an eye. And the people who see me now never look up at my hair anymore .
I used to catch them looking up at it all the time. I think its the best cosmetic thing I treated myself to.

Hi drybone. Do you have any post op photos on here? How many weeks did you find it took for all signs of surgery to disappear, reddening etc. The biggest thing for me is time off work to get it done as I don't want to tell everyone only close friends. I was looking at taking a month to 2 month off. Or could I get away with 2 or 3 weeks off?
Regards
-
Kipper if you are worried about the scabbing etc then 2 weeks should be ok.
If u are worried about the so called ugly duckling phase when the grafts fall out and the redness is evident I suggest 3 weeks to a month. Is it possible to wear a beanie in your place of work? If not u may just have to take 3 weeks off, then see where u are. As I said previously, if anyone asks, just say you got a bad doing sun-wise on holiday.

Chris/Drybone, did you guys see certain parts shedding/scabbing quicker than others? My left temple is a fair bit browner than the right and when I run my finger over the stubble it seems more smoother than the left. Im wondering if I was rubbing that part in my sleep.

Cheers jairus, I maybe don't need to take as much time off as I originally thought. I'll be following you progress closely. I can't wear a hat at work no, I'll maybe go for the 3 week to 1 month plan. Getting my consultation done soon
Cheers for the advise
