Oh yes.. baldness will be cured in the next 5 years for sure.

Definately... 5 years... the cure will be in our hands...

    5 years.

(I know we've been saying this for the past 40 years but there's just something about the next 5 that is SO different!!!)...

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but it really is true that the next couple of years are different. For example, the cure already has been found by Team Tokyo. They already succeeded at creating a bio-engineered human hair follicle that functioned perfectly and produced human hair. From now on it's just a matter of perfecting things and running clinical trials. However 5 years sound quite optimistic, I'd say 7-8 years.

Arashi is spot on! Guys, if only you were reading what I've been reading about tissue engineering lately!

There's so much going on all around us! Unfortunately scientists are great at finding things out but not so great at PR and socialising! we are doing things incredibly faster than 90s and early 2000!

Even if Aderans couldn't deliver on their promises, their failures have allowed the next guys to do it better and perfect things! Wahenik, Kurt Stenn, Intercytex team and even Cotsralis should all be on our heroes list!

They took the baby steps so that we can run with our locks flapping about :P lol

Desmond, you really need to phone in to speak to Spencer because sometimes he just seems behind in the latest news.
    Have you ever phoned in?

Desmond... the cure has been "5 years away" for the past 40 years.

Come 2018 we'll be saying the same thing.

    OK consider this scenario:

Tsuji lab initiates its first in man trial (Phase I/IIa) in 2017! Hairs start to grow and connects to nerves and muscles! Initially they'll be only filling in temples or small bald spots being Phase I...

Now from that point to market availability we're looking at around 4 years!

I can promise you that knowing that it works, you will be carefree for the remaining 4 years! Most ppl will just drop fin and wait!

So yes, maybe we're not there yet, but once we have positive human data we are cured both mentally and (ultimately) physically!

Unfortunately, negativity and always saying NEVER will serve no purpose to anyone and ultimately will bring your mood and whole bunch of other ppl's mood down! and why when you know there are ways to fix it

    I'm actually not being sarcastic.

The pace new approaches and methods are developing is INCREDIBLE! Basically we're getting news each week about new methods under way. As I said I strongly believe we'll have a NW6 -> NW2 solution with regular density in 4 years or less.

Lol thx Shan I doubt he doesn't know! He tries to help ppl today instead of keeping them in misery till something better comes along! and that is awesome

I don't think anyone should be reading the cutting edge forum b4 doing something about their hair in the first place!

14 years or more is a much more realistic guesstimate.
