    Half a pill of propecia?

I was wondering if splitting a pill of propecia would have the same effects as taking the whole pill once a day.

if you take half a pill of propecia (.5mg Finasteride) then it is said that it is 80% as effective as a full pill of propecia (1mg Finasteride). Half a pill of Propecia is good to take if you are having side effects from the 1mg dosage because 80% effectiveness is better than not taking it at all.

In theory 0.5 mg is as effective (nearly)

I've read an independent study that is grilling Merck because 1mg is not more effective than .2mg I believe this to be true.

I am personally taking .5mg and have been for 4 months with amazing results, and I do not think it would've been better if I took 1mg. But everyone is different too. BUt to answer your question the best I can: Yes.

Here is my story with photos:

HI Everyone. I'm new here and just did a bunch of browsing though many posts. Fascinating stuff. Spent far too long just going through everyone's story, its crazy how obsessed a person can become over hairloss!! Anyhow here is my story. I've been losing my hair for about 10 years. I am 28 now. Its been a slow frontal

I've seen studies that show 0.25 mg is good enough to show improvment/maintiance. Unless you have sides you should go with the reccomended amount of 1mg. It depends on the person. I've seen .25 mg help regrow hair on humans heads.. yet I've seen 1.25 mg supposedly cause more hair loss, depends on how you respond to the drug. Search google etc. Before starting anything consult your Doctor. I'm currently taking 0.5mg Fin and it works well.
