    Default Modification of Human genetics

Ethical considerations surrounding the modification of human genetics.

As technology develops, we will be able to further alter, with the help of technology, human status /genetics /current state.

With gene modification, by the aid of technology, we can in time regulate the balding gene. This will take too long for most of us. In this way, it's pointless to us.

If it's not within the next little while? Why should we care?

As humans we happen to think in the short term. Please, think years from now. Think gene modification; minus ethical considerations, an understanding of how we might treat children before they're born.

    Cheers.

If you could genetically modify your child before he/she is born not to have balding, etc. genes, it would be unethical not to IMO

Anyone see that movie Gattaca? All the "god children" in that movie were completely f*cked over by their parents. The movie shows you the 1 outlier example in that storyline universe as if that makes it OK to put a deformed, unattractive kid in the middle of a world full of perfection, but in reality that would be a selfish crappy thing to do to someone who never got a say in it

But yes, we all missed the boat on that kind of gene modding so no need to worry about it either way

This. I really do not give a flying **** about what future generations have to deal with. They deserve to struggle as we have; I do not care even a small amount about their happiness or survival.

Ya, but that is pointless for us. A cure would be much better. Even for future generations, a cure would be better than genetic modification, because that genetic modification procedure would need to be very reliable, otherwise it would be very risky!
