Is it common to bald from the middle of the hairline?
I'm certain I'm balding, however, my pattern appears irregular. The best way I can describe my balding is that it's thinning/balding from the middle of my hairline above the center of the forehead. Has anyone else seen this balding pattern? I don't notice any recession or thinning in the other common areas.

This is pretty common. Frontal recession can start to become noticeable in the central area before anywhere else and usually isn't symmetrical. It's impossible to say how quickly your loss will progress, but when it does you'll begin to see thinning at the sides too.

it can happen and then increases all over

Thanks for the info. Believe it or not, it was hard to find the answer elsewhere.

I agree that even though this would not be in the classic Male Pattern Balding categories, it is one of the more common atypical hair loss patterns.
