My opinion is you are fine. Your hair is about as thick as it gets. Go see a dermatologist if you want to, but I dont think you have male pattern baldness. Not yet anyways.

I have a crew cut now so have no recent pictures, but I did what you did and asked other people. Some said thinning and some some said thick hair. Unless you have a bald spot, nobody will notice except you.
I even asked a hair transplant surgeon in India on holiday and even he said my hair was fine.

Maybe it is fine then! Did your thinning progress much since you first noticed? Any pics even of your crew cut?

Go see a hair loss specialist man. Do not waste time going back and forth between "maybe is it fine" vs. "maybe it is not." Just trust me on this

If the doctor says he sees no signs of MPB then you can relax.

I was watching the tennis monte carlo final today and a perfect example of a middle part thinning is Raphael Nadal. I have been watching his hair hair for a while now and it is very thin in the middle.

I'm not so sure. I think his hair was always like this. Take a look at photos at various stages of his life:

              Nadal 2004
              Nadal 2005
              Nadal 2006(a)
              Nadal 2006(b)
              Nadal 2007
              Nadal 2008(a)
              Nadal 2008(b)
              Nadal 2009
              Nadal 2010
              Nadal 2012

Its so unpredictable. I know a family where the father is NW7 and all his 4 sons are NW0s!

definite thinning in mid scalp. His parting is not even a straight line anymore

it's a very close call but if someone put a gun to my head i'd say you're just starting to thin but barely, nothing to be worried about at all if you stop it now. are you shedding more in the shower? i'd monitor it for the next 3 months. come back and take another pic to show us in 3 months and we'll definitely be able to see if it's gotten worse or not. wouldn't want you to start taking propecia for nothing. and 3 months isn't going to make or break you. you can regrow what you lost in that time and also prevent further loss. but when i started going thin on the crown at about 19 i had that same cold feeling on my head outdoors. eventually i could feel that it was thinner with my hand just rubbing my crown and comparing it to other areas. let's hope you don't get to that stage...

Any opinions or still the same?
