I have more faith in the whole "abstinence promotes hair growth" idea than I do in coconut oil. And that is saying a lot.

I rub coconut oil or argan oil into my scalp every so often. I just leave it for an hour or so then wash it out. It's mainly for moisturising the scalp and for combating the dry, itchy scalp I get from Nizoral/Rogaine/hard water in general.

It definitely works for this, but the claims that it regrows hair are completely unfounded. It is good for maintaining a healthy scalp though.

It also makes your hair (temporarily) look a lot thicker, just because it's an intense moisturiser. So I use it when I need to look my best.

I do recommend it.
