My results 6 years on from repair norwood 6 patient

Whilst in London with Joe and Dr Hasson we were able to take some updated photos of my hair as it is today.
I have put them with my before photos taken in June 2006 so nearly 6 years on.
For those that don't know my results they are the result of 5 hair transplant spanning 17 years. I am a Norwood 6 and everything on the top of my head is transplanted hair.
The blue pre H&W photos are the results of 3 small sessions in the UK in 1996,97 and 98 of around 1000 to 1500 mini and micro grafts.
I had 4856 grafts by Dr Hasson in June 2006 and a small hairline refinement of 623 grafts in 2010.
I have been taking propecia since my first surgery at Hasson And Wong in June 2006 and this has shown an improvement in my lower part of the crown.

Now that's a great hair transplant ! You look fantastic and younger than you did six years ago! Hows does the scar look?

Thanks guys for your nice comments.

Drybone- The scar is fine, I will try to take some photos of it at some stage, unfortunately I had 3 seperate previous scars before going to see Dr Hasson and I took the decision to get as many grafts as possible and the new scar was not the main concern for me having 3 much wider ones already. I am going back later this year for another session to thicken up the crown and hope to deal with some of the old scars then.

            Garageland,

Are you glad you decided to go down the hair transplant route? even starting at the young age you did?

I think your hair looks great for your age and really suits you..

Seems like you have done more than just a hair transplant. I can clearly see a chin implant as well!

Fear the loss- if I could go back I would never of had the first 3 transplants at such a young age with such a high Norwood scale. Would I have a transplant today if I was 23 with the methods that are around today? Difficult to say but I probably would as I care about how I look and would hate the slick bald look. That said any decent clinic would tell me to get on the meds first.

At least young guys today have the Internet to research and can have access to many clinics and the standard of work had hugely improved since 1996.

                  Thanks for the compliment.

                  Spex- thanks again.

Baldozer- really a chin implant wow never had that said to me before. I am a few pounds lighter than the before pics but never had any cosmetic surgery other than hair. I would like to get my eyes lazered.

That's an incredible before and after. The before is really a heartbreaker--just unforgivable to lay those dolls-hair rows across someone's forehead. But the after result, while obviously below full density, is what any lay person would call a "full head of hair" for your age and looks 100% natural.

You look like a lawyer, are you one?

By the way, the HT looks great.

Win200- Thanks very much for your kind comment. Getting me to look natural was the key for surgery. It's been over 7 years now since my main surgery and I still don't take for granted the turnaround I had. For NW6 patients with the right hair characteristics and number of grafts the cosmetic improvement can be huge. Whilst my crown may be thin the perception from front on which is how people meet me is that I have no hair loss issues.

Yeah Yeah- Thanks for saying the hair looks great not sure what to make of the lawyer comment, I am not by the way.

I have attached a couple of outdoors photos in sunlight that I took from a recent holiday last month just to compare lighting, hopefully I look less of a lawyer in these ones.
