Most reputable hair restoration doctors will not close the temple points. We had a patient in earlier this month who went to a doctor when he was young to have a low, straight hairline grafted to provide minimal appearance of recession.
Here is a photo of our patient taken before his first repair procedure with Dr. Cole. Our patient originally had minor recession and his natural hairline was about a half inch higher. I know some of you young guys will think, "I would love to have that head of hair". This hair transplant made our patient feel self conscious to the point that he had the grafts removed and his hairline moved back to where it was. The HT Dr. Cole is repairing had two and three-hair grafts placed on the hairline and there was some "tenting", or the appearance of small bumps with hair growing out of them. This is a difficult repair. When he is back in the office in 9-12 months, we will post results photos.
