Hello Ucali, given your age, I believe you can opt for hair transplant only if you have lost a significant amount of hair. Or else you can consider postponing the hair transplant. Also your current profession is a factor important to the decision. Please analyse the pros and cons of hair transplant and read articles online. If possible you may also consider consulting a doctor, for a second opinion. For anyone considering a hair transplant, its important to understand the side-effects of it. Be aware of them and go for hair transplant, only if you feel the gains are worth the pain.
I list a few possible side effects of hair transplant -
1. Swelling of scalp
2. Inflammation or Infection of the hair follicles
3. Sudden but typically temporary loss of the transplanted hair (called shock loss)
4. Numbness or lack of sensation on the treated areas of the scalp
Few of my colleagues had undergone hair transplant but the results vary greatly. Feel free to PM me, in case of any query.
