going bald sucks

So Im pretty deep into going bald territory here and ive finally started on rogaine 2 weeks ago, here's to hoping that it helps me atleast a bit. I know rogaine doesn't work for everyone, so I'm just wondering do you think rogaine could help me at all?

It should be able to help a bit but even if you are a great responder all the Minoxidil in the world won't stop your MPB. You need to use a DHT blocker to either slow or halt the balding process. There is always Finasteride, though make sure you read up on the pros and cons to decide if it is worth the risk to you.

I thought about fin, but I want to first see how rogaine works, since its not a systemic drug. If rogaine does nothing, then I may consider fin or just shave it. I'd rather not risk using finasteride just because it is a systemic drugs and has a higher likelihood side effects. Thanks for the input!

Just for anyone reading this about rogaine, here's what I have been through: I havent' had a ton of shedding, i've shed a little but nothing too serious, and I've seen fine hair growing on my temples that I didn't see before I started rogaine. I only say this because I did thorough observations of my full scalp by myself and my friend just to be able to document any changes properly. All I can hope is there is more where that came from.
