Dutasteride side effect while using ketaconazole

    From in house pharmacy page:

When should Dutas not be used?

You should not use Dutas if you are:
a woman, Dutas is not intended for use by women and can be harmful to an unborn child
allergic to Dutas or any other medication containing dutasteride
taking medication that may interact with Dutas and may increase your risk for side-effects, including verapamil or diltiazem >(for high blood pressure), ritonavir or indinavir (for HIV), itraconazole or ketaconazole (for fungal infections) nefazodone (an antidepressant).

So I take it you're not supposed to use nizoral while on dutasteride? Well I suppose that's good news since that's one less product to buy. Very interesting though.

I am 99% positive that they are referring to oral ketoconazole. I don't believe keto shampoo absorbs systemically.

Ohh I see. I didn't know it could be taken orally. That makes sense now
