17 and receding?
Hi guys. I'll keep this brief.
I'm 17 years old and my hair is much shorter at my temples than anywhere else. I've had this hairline for as long as I can remember (while caring about my hair.. Maybe 2 years) and I'm not sure if it's a 'maturing' or receding hairline, although I'm convinced it's the latter.. Which sucks. I've included pics. The short hair pic was taken today, the others a few weeks ago. What do you guys think?
My brother is only 11 and also has a kind of similar kind of hairline. My dad has a full head of hair, so does my dads dad. My mums dad however has a horseshoe hairline.
Thanks for your help.

Your pics are terrible but it is most likely your hairline maturing.
If your temples get worse or you have/get any thinning in the crown then it is MPB.

You need to get a better camera and keep taking pictures every few months using same lighting. Then compare yourself 6 months to a year from now.
If it's maturing, it will simply stop and not change any more. If it's the start of mpb, it will keep slowly receding back. But it will probably be so slow that you will need those pictures to be able to tell.
Also ask your mom's dad when he started losing his hair and how it progressed.
