I don't know if you guys remember but about 2 years ago a group of American scientists discovered that stem cells are completely intact in the balding areas; they just fail to convert to progenitor cells and turn into hair follicles!
What if the signal for that is what's in Histogen! Would that explain the significant hair growth!
If so, would multiple injections bring you back to NW1? Now, wouldn't that be amazing

Btw, let's hope they announce when Phase 2b is scheduled to start as well...

A significant increase in vellus hair count (p=0.033) was seen for the first time, supporting the hypothesis that the HSC treatment rescues dying follicles, in addition to converting vellus to terminal hairs and increasing the number of hairs per follicle. Statistical significance continued to be seen at the 24 week time point
Des do you reckon Histogen will solely be used for reviving vellus hairs as quoted above in the Oct release, or can it revive dormant follicles also?

Histogen is reversing the chemistry of your scalp to its neonatal state so in all honestly at least in theory it may revive dead follicles...I think repeated injections should definitely revive a lot of those follicles!
Let's see if they add a third injection time-point in their Phase 2b! Imagine if hair growth is increased by another 40%! You would pretty much get 50% of your original density back!

Hey, also Dr. Ziering injected a completely bald area back in October 2012. We should have a 6 month update on that by May this year!
If they got hair growing in that zone then anything is possible!

Yes that would be very exciting indeed!
The question still remains tho - if you ONLY used Histogen injections, how long could you theoretically keep the revived follicles before MPB takes over again?
We really need some more info from them

Well they've shown that the hair stays for at least a year, if fact the hair growth actually increased over the year, the percentages were higher after a year than they had been at the 3 & 6 month points. Any results from the trials are from using ONLY Histogen injections, people aren't allowed in trials if they're using fin/dut/minox. Even if you had to have Histogen treatment every couple of years I wouldn't mind til the ultimate cure eventually came along.

Ah I must have missed that bit, thanks
Well thats good news, a yearly top up of injections would not be so bad.
And from what you say, it seems the treatment is compoundable.

I understand everyone is excited about the potential, but this is years away from coming into market. What the hell am I suppose to do from now until the "possible release" of Histogen to prevent further balding?
We still don't know if Histogen will regrow hair on a completely bald scalp and that's where I'm trending by the time this comes out. Everybody gets peace of mind from hope, well I just hope I'm not a NW 5+ by the time this comes out. Who knows what it will do for me then.
