    Why would you presume any procedure that penetrates sub-cutaneous tissue, and relies on second-intention healing, would leave no scar tissue?

    Let us please bear in mind, not only the donor-, but also the recipient-area is limited in how much work can be done. One cannot simply transplant, say, 150-follicle-units/cm^2 — the receiving tissue is improbable to support this, even across multiple, staggered surgeries.
