Congealed blood from lost FUE graft

Please see here for the background of this post.

I am concerned about congealed blood at the site where I lost my FUE graft.

Does anyone know if the congealed blood represents a risk to the surrounding FUE grafts? I know I lost one in my bandana, as I literally saw the hair stuck in its fabric. Dr Feriduni believes I may have lost a maximum of 2 or 3.

Here are some photos and I appreciate any thoughts about this. I tried to take them from several angles, with and without flash. They're about as clear as possible, but I appreciate the blood makes it difficult to assess. Medically speaking, can the dried blood harm those surrounding grafts?

    Hi Chris,

You have NOTHING to worry about mate whatsoever. The blood will not effect the graft under there at all, they are all safe and embedded under the scalp.

It is not uncommon to loose a graft or two post op. I remember loosing one after my session and it stressed me out.

    Dont worry about it :-)

      Thanks Spex.

I did some digging and found this topic, which essentially says the same thing, so I feel reassured that the grafts are safe under there!

I will continue my post op instructions.

At least this experience has made me a lot more aware about how careful I need to be! I am treating my head like it's an uncooked egg worth a million bucks.

          Chrisis,

Your post-op pics look awesome. At some point the dried blood will begin to break up and wash off as you heal.

Can hardly wait to see your matured result and thanks for sharing your pics with us.

            Thanks gillenator!

Yeah, the comprehensive post op instructions indicate that from tomorrow (day 5) I can gently dab the recipient area with the baby shampoo supplied by the clinic, as well as applying aloe vera morning and night. On Monday I will be able to rub gently. I will post more photos early next week in the other topic.

              Chrisis,

Have things improved with the congealed blood spot yet?

Thanks yeah! I sent a link to some new photos on my blog to Dr Feriduni yesterday and we're both happy that it looks good!

What a difference! The area looks clean and good to go.

Can hardly wait to see your procedure mature in the months to come Chrisis.

Thanks gillenator. I've been obsessively cleaning with baby shampoo day and night, using cotton pads and a spray bottle. I've also used a lot of aloe vera to help the skin heal.

Yeah, I'm really excited to see how it looks by summer! These next few months may drag...

Super healing, well done. Remember a watched kettle never boils. Now is the hardest part the wait.

Try be patient and be aware its 12-18 months till you will see the full effect.
