Default Laser therapy, yes or no?

    Hi,

Just looking for some feedback if anyone out there has has success with laser therapy for treating their hair loss?

A clinic has opened up around my town and i was wondering if it would be worth checking out.

Laser therapy is the biggest scam in the hair loss industry.

How can shining some light on your hair/scalp make it grow?
If you have so little hair that the light reaches your scalp, then what's the point anyway?
If you have enough hair that you just want to thicken it up, then how would it reach your scalp anyway?

And even if it DID reach your scalp, what good would it do? It's just light.

Itsmyhairs is an imbecile. Do not listen to him.

Low level laser therapy has been shown to slow hair loss and in some cases cause some improvement in growth.
Although it only works in a certain minority percentage of people. I can't remember the figure.

It is more effective in women for some reason but still works for some men at varying degrees.

However it is extremely expensive compared to how effective it is.
On the other hand is is extremely safe compared to almost every other treatment.

If money is no object to you then go for it.
Otherwise it's probably not worth the money unless you're extremely paranoid and want to do everything possible to stop your hair loss.

There's a lot of name calling on this forum and I don't know why, I'm just trying to save this guy from the vultures of the hair loss industry, why call me an imbecile for that?

It doesn't work in men, Parker (like you stated).

It's nothing more than a money making scam.
Use a real medical treatment, like Rogaine or Fin(if you're happy risking side effects).

I've seen clinics charging £5000 for 6 months of laser treatment, twice monthly.
It's absurd how much they're charging for something not proven to work, therefor it's a scam.

Go and buy Rogaine online for £90, that'll get you 6 months supply.

I said it's generally less effective in men. Not that it doesn;t work.

Hair clinics charge thousands for propecia and minoxidil too. Basically anything you get from a hair clinic is going to be overpriced enough to be considered a scam.

Thankfully theres other ways of getting propecia, minoxidil and laser therapy.
You can buy one of those waver laser things of your own for a more reasonable price.
