I hate it when women say hair loss on a man is like small tits on a woman!

That's totally fine, but again, i wouldn't say that they accepted baldness. They are trying to hide it just as much as dudes with comb-over.

Aren't people taking propecia also hiding the fact that they have the balding gene?

im pretty sure shaving your head is embracing it. if you balding and you shave it and move on, thats a much healthier choice (mentally) then keeping the fragments of your lost head of hair. Being bald shows courage and confidence, a combover shows desperation.

I'm going to say you're wrong on this one. Shaving your head clean and a comb over are completely different. One is trying to hide balding, and one is embracing the bald. I'm pretty sure most sly bald guys out there aesthetically prefer a slick look to stubble and aren't trying to hide anything and have accepted it. I mean what are your choices? Stubble? Or Sly? That's it, so it's a personal preference of those two options. Perhaps you cant understand that because you yourself haven't reached that point of acceptance which is fair enough. But Mr Sly and Mr Comb over are way different.

How did we get from shaving your head to a 'comb over' ? You know how many men i see who are bald as eagles? Lots. Do they shave the sides and back? No. .

Shaving your head is not accepting the top of your head is bald. Its trying to hide it. Like you are shaving your whole head by choice.

Skin heads shave their hair completely bald by choice.

Leaving your hair alone is accepting it. Everyone will see you are bald. You aint hiding anything. Getting a hair cut for the sides and back like you would get a hair cut back when you had a full head.

Here is the point. You guys are not BALD. You are bald on the TOP. Stop hiding it.

The point is that it makes some men feel better and its better for them psychologically.

If that isn't the case for you, fine, but don't knock others who are just trying to look their best with what nature has given them.

We'd all rather have a full head of hair, but when mother nature seems to be winning the battle against baldness, we have to do what's best for our image and whatever will help us to boost our self- confidence.

Yes, it's call compensating. Another poster said "compensating" as though it were a dirty word but it isn't.
