    Default traction alopecia, UK, cost!

    Hi All,

I'm not really sure where I should start, so I'll summarise my current situation:

    > I'm 25
    > from the UK
    > have traction alopecia. Hair was damaged when my mother used to comb it and pull it back.
    >the front temples are damaged and damage continues round to under my ears
    >crown area is also damaged, same reason as above. Not sure if it has thinned.

    What I want done:
    >have those areas fixed via hair transplant

What I would like to know:
    >A reputable surgeon (prefer the UK as I can go back to him/her if needed)
    >cost estimation

Well, i've emailed a few Belgium based surgeons....still curious as to how much it'll cost. From the reading ive done I should go with the FUE method.

Dr. Coen Gho for sure. He is the only surgeon right now using a procedure that doesn't leave visible scarring and has some donor regeneration so you don't deplete your donor hair so quickly..

Based on looking at my pics, any guesses on how much it'll cost?

hard to tell, I would need a better pic of the hairline..but Gho is a little on the expensive side because of the donor regeneration and scarless procedure...an FUT procedure would be cheaper, but you would have a linear scar on the back of your head that would be visible if you ever wanted to shave your head...or if your hairloss advanced in the future

Depends how much you want to move your hairline forward, but to cover the loss in the crown and move the harline forward I would guess you would want 1200 or so grafts which is around 7000 euros

Are you sure this is traction alopecia? With the frontal recession and thinning at the crown, it looks like male pattern baldness to me.
