Default My donor 2 months post procedure

    Hi all

I just shaved my head to a grade 0 to have a look at my donor and recipient.

I'm not at a computer just now, but I'll upload the pics later today (in about 8 or 9 hours).

I'm really worried as the scalp looks red in the recipient and donor areas where the work was done.

Also I think I can see white dot scarring... Is this normal after 2 months?

    Please give me some input

    Regards
    c5000

We both are just a few days apart with our HSTs. So one of us must be an Alien or something. I don't know. Other guys like the singer Dean Saunders shave their head down to a grade 0 practically since treatment day 1 - until today. So this guy would have a bigger problem than you live on stage. I could also shave down my head today to a grade 0 - I would see absolutely nothing. At least, my handheld video microscope reports me this every few days.
Ok well i'll rephrase my question:

Can anyone (besides Iron_Man) give me some (non-biased) input?

    Regards

You start here a completely USELESS discussion about something nobody can SEE and therefore nobody is able to judge or to "diagnose" something. What t. f. do you expect??
Iron_Man, this will be my last response to you on this subject. Yes I haven't put up the photos yet, but when I do people can comment on them.

I was asking if redness is normal after 2 months.

Every case is different and Gho specifically said to me that I would only be able to get a second procedure "if there is no white scarring after the first one"... So even Gho himself can admit that white scarring is possible.

So even the Dr. Who invented this procedure is more open minded about its success rate and potential limitations than you are... I think that says it all.

Like I say, any further comments you make on this subject will be ignored by myself. I will however discuss with other members who want to have an actual discussion.

    Regards

you need to add pics in order for members to give you feedback.
redness is normal in the first few months when you shave down to 0, you also might get some pimples on the donor and/or recipient during that period.

As for white dots, personally, i don't think i got any after my HST,here is how my donor looked 5 weeks post op:

white dots are sign that regeneration didnt happen, put up some pics so our HST gurus can give you non biased opinion

worries me that even Gho isnt 100% sure about white dots

    c5000,

First of all everyone is different. The redness is not a big deal. I seriously doubt you have any white dots. I've never seen these on any gho patient.

    Get the photos up asap.

I see a few spots on your head with no hair, but they look way too big to be considered white dot scarring, I'm assuming those were there prior to any procedure?

In terms of white dot scarring, I honestly can't detect any in your picture but please do post the higher quality one when you're able. These phone cameras are not the best.

    Hi thanks for your response.

It's great to hear that you don't think they are white dot scars.

But I don't think they were there prior to the procedure.

I have always said, I don't care about regeneration, it's just a bonus. However I do care a lot about being scarless.

I will put up the higher quality picks when I get home in 4 hours.

    Thanks for the input
