60 dollars for 1 month is a lot of money I mean thats more then a high cell phone bill. I hope generics bring the price down a lot more then that because some derms/docs do not write out scripts for that 5 mg proscar. I asked my derm a long time ago and he said he couldnt.

That is exactly what I would do, but I asked my doctor to please prescribe 5mg Proscar so I could go buy generic for a fraction of the price but he said he couldn't do it, he said he could only prescribe me the 1mg brand name drug. If I find a doctor willing to write me the prescription, I will definitely be getting generic 5mg dosage at walmart or costco or wherever it's cheapest.

you doctor is a medical professional. He can prescribe whatever he wants as long as it fits your needs.
He isnt 'bound' to prescribe 1mg. And he certainly isnt 'bound' to prescribe name brands. In my opinion (i dont know your doc from adam) it sounds like a kickback city.
Docs prescribing a specific product or 'referring' to a specific specialist.
I once had a family doctor who 'referred' me to an ear specialist................................because I had wax build up in my ears.
Apparently he didnt have the skill to remove ear wax . I needed a specialist.
I have no idea why this stuff still needs to be presciption anyways. I also had a doctor one time 'prescribe' ibuprofen under some fancy name and I had to muster as much control as possible as I took the slip without bursting out laughing.
I am sorry your doc is playing hardball with you. If you can, go see a dermatologist. I am sure they will prescribe the 5mg finast

I wouldn't trust the generic stuff. You can buy brand propecia here with an online consultation http://www.goodpharmacy.net

Generic is fine if your buying it from a legit pharmacy in the US where its regulated.

It`s true. Buying medication from a trustworthy provider can help eliminate the risks of receiving low quality medication.
