Default What is wrong in being bald

Why are some people so obsessed about their baldness, that they would even kill themselves to retain their hair. I mean seriously, if you are fit and have some cool facial hair style, you look very good even bald. I shed a few pounds and boy, I'm looking awesome. I don't have any desire to get back hair now. Perhaps the people who are obsessed with balding have other ugly features and they think its the baldness that is making them ugly.

Also my hair is getting greyer everyday, and shaving my head hides them beautifully. Just imagine how much money I save by not requiring to get a haircut, shampoo them, gel them or dye them. Screw hair transplants, screw hair growing drugs, I am happy the way I am.

because picturing yourself as a bald man can be hard hair is a sign of youth and vitality and the way you wear it defines a lot. The MPB process is extremely depressing losing your aesthetics so young right after your puberty is a big blow in fact everytime I see the baldness having progressed it feels like a strike to the plexus telling you this as a thaiboxing competitor.

Being bald is a real social stigma among younger people also.

Its all in your mind mate. Baldness has nothing to do with youth or vitality. With a shaved head I look 32, which is my age, not younger, not older. I see 70 year old people with full head of hair and 20 year old bald men, so how could you equate the two. If you look good bald, there is no need to worry. Even without hair, you can look cool, just work on your body and facial hair style.

I just think you don't expect it to happen to you and when it does you'll do what you can to keep it or take it back.

Personally I should of tried Fin and minox well over a year ago but I didn't. Instead I buzzed my hair for the first time ever last week and Im still adjusting to it. It looks ok, but I think Ill have to go shorter as you can see my thin hair vs my non-thin sides.

But back to the OP. I guess I want to be you at some point in the future and I think I will be when I am a bit older, mature and hopefully in a stable relationship!

Suicide cures hair loss? Is this verified? You might be on to something, OP.

Being on this board doesn't mean that you hate being bald.

Yeah like it is so fun to be on this board chatting with a bunch of depressed bald guys just for the hell of it. Why you on this board than if baldness does not bother you ? This board is depressing and i bet everyone on this thing wishes they would never have to go on this thing again if a cure came.

I agree with OP that losing your hair isn't the end of the world. But being 32 and going bald is a bit different than, say 25 like me, or even 16-18 like some of the other members. Life does on, but it blows.

I also agree that facial hair and an athletic build are beneficial for a bald guy. But, again, being 32 you probably grow better facial hair than most 25 year olds, let alone 16-18 year olds.

As someone thinning pretty good and sitting on an NW2.5, I am already beginning to get all the way over it, but I would definitely prefer to keep my hair.

Being 19, with a receding hairline (almost NW3), my main problem with being balding/bald is that it looks out of place on someone my age. I knew it was in my genes from early on, I just hoped my "full head" (NW2ish strong widows peak) was going to last longer. By the time I'm 30-35 it won't be out of the norm to be losing some or all of my hair. I think it makes me look older, and I'd like to look young while I am young. Maybe I'll feel differently later on, but that's how I see it now.

edit: my facial hair is patchy at best and makes me look worse when it's grown out in my opinion. It also doesn't help with the looking older thing
