Default Is Nizoral even worth using?

I've been using it for a few weeks now, but after reading this forum and a few others I'm honestly considering stopping.

The reason I use it is because of it's DHT blocking/cleansing effect that it supposedly has.
But from everything I've read, people are only saying it makes them shed more, it almost seems counterproductive.

I've basically not seen anyone saying that it's helped them at all.

Should I keep using Niz? Should I use another shampoo?

Then you have not really been reading everything.

If you over use Nizoral, you can induce shedding. Nizoral should only be used once a week in place of your regular shampoo.

Nizoral is not a "stand alone" treatment for hair loss. However the active ingredient in Nizoral is a very helpful adjunct treatment for stand alone hair loss treatments such as Propecia and Rogaine. Lots of people who use Nizoral properly find it helpful. Including me.

Again, you are not really reading everything.

Shedding is a normal part of the process of treating hereditary hair loss. The hair that sheds out usually grows back thicker than it was before it shed out. If you feel you cannot deal with any shedding at all, you should not treat your hair loss at all. Just allow nature to take it's course.

I only use nizoral to treat my hair loss, since starting I don't shed as much and i'd even go as far to say that my hair seems thicker now than before I used nizoral, as less parts of my scalp are visible. I use 2% version about every 4 days and it has cleared my dandruff nicely. Definitely worth trying but remember what works for one may not work for another.
