Rogaine foam is working for me, quite well
I've been on it for 3 months now (to the day) and I'm already seeing some pretty significant growth in the temple area where I've seen most loss.
My hair loss tends to be the type that doesn't really thin out, but just recedes quite gradually (been about 9 years now since it started?), mainly at the temples.
Now those area's are completely covered in hair that's about 5mm long.
The hairs closer to the hairline are thicker than the ones further down, but hopefully those will fill out over the next 6 months or so.
I really just can't believe it, had my hair cut short about a month ago and you can clearly see the new hairs that've grown in, it looks like I've taken a pair of clippers and shaved down to a number 2 or 3 at my temples.
Here's some pics, red line represents the area that was completely slick bald at baseline with no hair whatsoever.

I should add, I also see almost no hairs coming out in the shower now, nor on the towel when I'm drying my hair, nor any falling over my keyboard when I'm at my desk.

If that area was slick bald then the Rogaine has done a fantastic job. I hope it gets even better!

Absolutely!
I can barely believe it myself and I've read you need to wait 6-8 months before the 'real' results start showing.
Here's hoping it does get better, so I can avoid a HT for a few more years.

You're lucky mate, it didn't regrow anything on my temples and hairline even after 14 months usage. Consider yourself very lucky. How many times per day are you applying it? Was there an initial shed at all?

I apply it every 18 hours (I find this optimal, not quite twice a day but working nevertheless), a little bit to each temple and a bit on my crown, which has thinned ever so slightly, too early to tell if it's helping up there though.
Had a bit of a shed at about 2-3 weeks, not really too bad though.
I think it really depends on how long the follicles in the area you're applying it to have been 'inactive' and not growing any hair.

Yeah guess a lot of mine must have been dormant for a long time, having said that I saw decent looking hairs disappear never to reappear. Are you applying half a cap full,or even less?

I go through a 1 month bottle in about 3 weeks, so make of that what you will. It's just really hard to apply it to the crown and get it down to the scalp when you still have a fair bit of hair on top, guess that's why I use more.
It's basically a dot on each temple then a blob on the crown for me.

Fair play mate, its doing what it says on the tin for you, onwards and upwards
