I absolutely cannot agree with this negative statement in any way. There is currently more resources being applied to solving this problem than there has even been - and they are closer to a real solution than they have ever been. We will first see significantly more effective treatments for hereditary hair loss, then we will see a true cure. It will happen in that order. The better treatments will be available in three to five years - closer to three than five.

I don't think there will be a "cure" in our lifetimes.
It's always 5 years away, those "5 years" are beginning to pile up.

But lets take 2007, the same treatments that were out then are out now. What is new?

An effective treatment that grows a good amount of hair is good enough for me.

I don't remember if they were transecting grafts in 2007 and calling it regeneration, or has that happened quite recently? Either way I don't think there has been much progress since 2007, Intercytex went bust, Acell causes strip scars to stretch, what else is there that is actually available?

Not long before that, there was nothing.

Intercytex sold their technology to Aderans - so that research has been continuing. From the very beginning they had no desire to try market the treatment themselves.
