Default 18 years old, is this the start of MPB?

Hello everyone, i'm 18 years old, 19 in March. I have had a high and wide forehead all of my life but I have noticed that its beggining to look worse and becoming harder to hide. The main area of concern is my hairline but i'm also worried about the crown, which feels thinner to the hair around it. Its worth noting that I've been aware of this problem for just over a year and don't feel like its changed drasitcally during this time. My hairdresser has told me I have thick hair, but also mentioned a 'reccesion area' whilst he was cutting it, this would be the left side of my hairline. -

Just wondering if I could have any advice from the guys on this forum.

As for family history, it doesn't look good.

Father: Norwood 4 or 5(light blonde) He said he started loosing his hair during his mid-late 20s. Growing up I have always noticed his drastic loss at the crown, which has always been more obvious than his hairline.

Grandfather(Mothers side): Norwood 7 (dark brown) mid 70's and almost no hair at all on the top of his head. He told me he suffered significant loss during his 30's and 40's but I feel he could of added a few years to hide embarrassment. However, I have seen pictures of him when he was in his early 20's and he had thick, dark hair but his hairline was covered.

Grandfather(Fathers side): Unfortunealty only met him a few times when I was much younger but from my memory he did not have a full head of hair.

Uncle(Father's brother): Norwood 4 or 5. Few years younger than my father but his hair is similar.

I know not directly releveant, but below are the hair types for my mother and sister.

Mother: Very thick, curly, dark brown hair. (Almost afro levels of thick)

Sister: Light blonde and super thin (straight), definitely thinner than my own hair.

It appears that my sister has inherited my fathers hair, whilst I appear to have a more obvious mixture of both my mother and fathers - I'm dark blonde and thick with a slight curl.

I have attatched pictures of my own hair, taken today 4th Jan 2013. The picture of my crown looks especially bad in the lighting and is nowhere near as bad as it looks in the picture.

Just wondering what your thoughts are? whether I should see a doctor? or any of you that had a simlair hairline to mine

Looks like a natural high hairline, I honestly can't see anything to worry about here.

    Crown looks fine too.

    Wait 3 years then reassess.

Thank you for your reassurance and honesty, I appreciate it.

Its just with such a high forehead it worries me that when I do go bald, I will look so stupid and I want to delay this for as long as possible.

I agree. It looks fine. You know what it has looked like in the past more than everyone else. At this time, just keep an eye on it, worry-free.
