Default I need your honest opinion--Should I shave my head (pictures included)

    Hello there,

I am 20 years old and have some frontal loss and well as thinning on the top an d a receding hairline. Im thinking of taking the plunge of shaving my head off but Im not sure if I can sport the look and wanted some honest and frank opinions if it will work for me first. It sucks losing hair but i am tired of letting it consume my thoughts.

You look like you have enough left to be worth saving. Have you considered hair loss meds?

I have to say what gets me are guys that ask if they need to shave their hair and when they post a picture it shows a full mature hairline with density and coverage everywhere.. no horseshoe pattern no vertex or crown of their hair miniaturized or gone..

No you don't need to shave your hair down.. if you feel comfortable dong so regardless that is cool too.. but from that picture I really don't see any advancing hair loss at worst you are an NW1.5 maybe going to 2 which is pretty early in the process and quite easy to arrest it with propecia, rogaine and ketoconazole based shampoos.

    Default Simple

Use minoxidil. It should work. Then worry about something else

You look fine from the 1 pic

Post some pics from other angles ( top , sides )

If you do decide aI think your face shape would suit a buzz cut ......IMO

But as they say there is only one way to find out

I'm 16 and got the same problem but i hide it by shaving the middle part of the hairline to do a line up. That way it looks like it hasn't receded. We got like the exact same hairline. Here's how it should look: http://s1308.beta.photobucket.com/us...947c2.png.html
I made the dots in the middle of the after picture to show what was shaved off, if you do it right it shouldn't be noticeable.

I should probably take some side pictures because this picture does not show the thinning on top and my right side. I'm in month 3 of minoxidil and month 2 of nizoral. I took propecia for 2 weeks but decided to stop due to bad sides. The thing is many members of my family have experienced aggressive hairloss at my age and have went from nw1 to nw7 in 3 years. I know I am in the early stages of loss but I still think I should be thinking about the inevitable. Would you suggest any other meds in replacement of propecia?

    Thanks
