    Default Receding 22 years old

Hi everyone I'm a 22 male who has been reading this forum for a while. My hairline is a severe type 1 / low type 2 on the Norwood scale. It is more noticeable on the right temple. I have fairly long hair and brush it forward to hide my receding hairline. My hairline has been receding since the age of 19. The most dramatic increase in hair loss has occurred in the last 6 to 8 months. Last summer I was brushing my hair back and using a hair-dryer which I think contributed to my hair loss so I cut this out after a couple of months.

For the past 3 months I have been taking Saw Palmetto, multi vitamin tablets and Sea Kelp daily. I'm not sure if this will even reduce my rate of hair loss but I thought it is worth a go! For the past two weeks I have been applying Kirkalnd Minoxidle to my receding hairline every night and which I purchased form http://www.minoxidil-direct.co.uk in liquid form.

Thinking about starting Propecia. http://ukfinasteride.info/. Is this a trusted brand? I'm sceptical, I do not want my sex life to go downhill. I may start on a low dose to see if I develop any side effects.

Should I also be using any specialist shampoo and conditioner? I currently shampoo and condition every morning, is this too much?

In the summer I plan to travel Asia for around 8 to 12 weeks. Has anyone travelled with hair loss treatments. Can I take the treatments on a plane or across borders? If I cant take the treatmens with me should I stop them now as stopping the kirkland minoxidile treatment in 7 months time for 2/3months will shed hair quicker than if I didn't start the treatment at all?

I will upload some photos soon! Appreciate any comments, thanks.

I can't address all your questions. But I'm 28, been on finesteride (propecia) since I was 24 and here are my side effects: I last longer in bed. Typically the girl comes before me (sometimes twice). Kinda shifts the power in the bedroom. I like it. I have to use thin condoms. I just feel like a champ since I can last longer and I'm "harder to please." No ED issues or mental effects.

Take the pill, it will delay or stop hairloss. It's worth it when you're young. I also believe you can take minox on a plane as long as its the 3 oz or less. I've done it. I believe the bottles are 1-2 ozs.

    Cheers!

Yes, the link you have posted is a trusted brand as I have been using it for a while now and only recently purchased a 15 month supply of Proscar for 220GBP. The service is excellent and very well priced.

Having been on finasteride for 5-6 years now, I have never had a problem taking it abroad.

This is interesting, thanks for sharing. I have a high sex drive and will have sex many times a day with my partner. I only ever date partners with a similar high sex drive! I do not want to change this and I want to read as many stories and hear as many opinions as possible before trying Propecia. Also my current partner is away for the next 2/3 months so I think it will be a good idea to start taking Propecia when she returns to see if I have any sides. You have stated you have no ED and in fact you perform longer in the bedroom. Do you want sex less often or are you ready to go again after, is your sex drive while taking Propecia equal to your sex drive before Propecia? You state you are 'harder to please'. Does this mean you are not as easily aroused or simply that you taking longer to climax.

Apologies for the personal questions and the bombardment of info, I'm just really curious! It seems like the treatment has not hindered your sex life at all but it fact enhanced it so I thought you might be happy to talk openly! Thanks

Good follow ups. It will be hard for me to answer. First, "harder to please" meant longer to climax. Getting aroused and hard hasn't change at all.

As far as going again, this is difficult. I've always been able to maintain an erection after ejaculation (no down time). This was great allowing the girl to continue the fun. As far as multiple orgasms I've only ever been able to do them on occasion. So, I'd say that the meds made it harder for me to have multiple orgasms but since I rarely had them anyway I don't really care. I also am able to maintain erections after ejaculaton so no change there. So all in all the meds left me with no side effects. My libido has remained high. But I also don't have sex multiple times a day. So my history and your history isn't really apples to apples.

Put it another way: the pill probably amplifies people's problems. So most men get ED issues when? Late 30s into 40s (I've heard stories). So taking this pill will only magnify that for those men. For men who are younger and their libido is still that of a teenager the pills seem to have little effect. But everyone is different. And the brain is a very powerful tool.
