Default CONSULTATION PICS: Please Advise Surgery Options For Scar Repair

This was a procedure done at age 21 before my current NW5.

The Scar goes Right Up the sides on each side but is more visible on the right side because of the angle.. and the Way it healed – it is more linear vs against the skin on the left side.

At age 32, The Sides have receded Fast, the original HT hair is diminished, and I am desperately searching for a viable solution to keeping it short, so it looks normal while hiding the scar.

I really like keeping my hair short.

Please Advise IF there is Any way to improve *only the Right Bad Side* With Acell or BETTER SCAR REVISION METHOD to Make it completely flat against the skin and hard to notice like the left side. or do you recommend a scar revision ?

I am not concerned about the back or corners so much or the right side (good side) . I am mainly concerned with the part that is visible from the front on the left side to the corner.

I truthfully appreciate any feedback you may give. IT has been my 10 years of my efforts to fighting of this SCAR .

    Please Advise.

    Thanks,

    Vincent

That's one of the larger scars I've seen--it appears to travel all the way to your temple on the right side.

My understanding is that ACell is used to promote scar healing when administered at the time of the procedure. Your scar is 10 years old, so it's fully healed and I don't believe there's anything that ACell could do. Your scar isn't very wide, and it does look like you've healed well. That means a scar revision wouldn't really give you a better result.

    You have two good options:

    1. FUE into the scar. This would move some follicular units into the scar and further camouflage it.

    2. SMP (scalp micro-pigmentation). Essentially, tattooing of dots onto the scar. This is becoming relatively common, and the results, when performed by someone capable, look terrific.

Both of these options could go a long way to disguise your scar, and could be used separately or in combination.

I would consider fue into the scar. It probably will always be visible shaved down like that but much less visible which might be enough of an improvement to no longer worry about it.

It's a long scar but as scars go I've seen worse. Can't see much of where the hairs were transplanted to but it looks like it appears natural.

I agree with win200 that scalp micropigmentation could be a good choice for you.
