    my own Calvary..

the last year it was a difficult period for me and my family.the loss of a friend and some other terrible situations i gained, filled me with much nervous, anxiety and stress.im 24 years old and the last june when i had a haircut the barber noticed some spots in the back of my head.i didnt have something like that before.i cant specify when it starter...anyway during the summer,i didnt pay attention in those spots, until september when i went to a dermatologist. He said to me not to worry about that ,he didnt abut to any conclusion except he insured me that this isnt alopecia areata because the spots have hair ,they are not completely bold..i also noticed that these areas extended somehow, and a new uper spot showed up.to have a view of my problem ..do i have alopecia areata? http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/1417/dscf3224mx.jpg

It does look like it could be Alopecia Areata. How does your hair on the top look? Is this balding confined to the back of your head?

The patches look like AA but the other photos show a more diffuse thinning pattern at the back.

Did the derm mention telogen effluvium? This can be triggered by stress.
