    Hello All,

I'm 28 and have been losing my hair for about 9 years now. It started with a receding hair line and eventually "grew" the infamous bald spot. It retracted and thinned along the crown and the bald spot has become larger at this stage of my life. It's not terrible and I've accepted it, somewhat, personally and am not ashamed or embarrassed to go out. I do think it hurts with the younger girls, but I have no problem meeting and dating older women.

The reason of this post is two-fold. First, I want to introduce myself and become a member of this community, as I understand what other men, older and younger, feel and experience when it comes to hair loss. I've spent most of my twenties being mad, confused, upset, embarrassed and quite honestly it led to a minor case of depression. Most importantly, it destroyed my confidence, which was my most admirable trait growing up.

Secondly, I want to inquire about a doctor in Clearwater, Fl that does laser surgery transplants. I met with him and he is a great guy. He seems to have a lot of high profile clients with some good before and after pics. The practice is called, "Laser Hair and Scalp Clinics, Clearwater Florida". Here is a link to some information about the practice and the doctor: http://www.locateadoc.com/doctors/ha...r-gallery.html

I want to know what everyone thinks of the laser surgery method and if anyone knows anything about the doctor. He seems like a great guy and was willing to provide me with his time, expertise and advice free of charge. The surgery itself is quite affordable, relatively speaking, and may be a route I choose to go. My fear is that the transplant will be obvious and that is what I don' want. I'd rather go bald than be a victim of a bad transplant that everyone talks about and notices instantly.

Some background about me: I used rogaine foam for about 4 months, with little results. It irritated my scalp and caused red spots, dryness and flaking so I stopped. I have started Propecia about 3 weeks ago and am patiently waiting for time to pass in order to see some results.

Thanks for your time and help with this matter. Any info about the laser surgery or the Doc would be greatly appreciated!
