    Default Thinning on one side?

Booked in with a hair specialist but would like to hear if anyone has had similiar experience.

Basically, I started shedding my hair 6 months ago. However, it's only the left side of my head that has noticably thinned out. The right side is still normal, and my temples have recessed somewhat. (not quite NW1)

The level of thinness on this one side means you can see my scalp, and it really turns my stomach when catch it in the mirror. (hence no pictures)

From what I understand traditional MPB follows from recession at the temples and a progressively wider bald spot. Is it usual to have arbitary patterns of thinning?
