Unusual Minox / Rogaine Question
Hi,
I will not be able to apply Minox directly to the usual MPB parts of my scalp for the next week (for reasons that I really don’t want to get into here believe me.…). I have been on Minox for 10 months with little impact and so am down to once a day. I have heard from various entries that coming off of Minox for a week shouldn’t present too many problems however I want to minimise any chances of a shed.
Based on the above was thinking of applying to the ‘back and sides’ in the hope that some of the positive Minox effects will impact on the ‘MPB’ parts of my scalp (as Minox gets into the bloodstream). Any thoughts on this? Is it worth doing? Will this give any benefit? Or will it make things worse by diverting blood and potassium to the non-MPB parts of my scalp therefore starving the MPB parts which usually receive Minox?
Thanks

I'm no expert, but I imagine you may cause a shed at the new locations of application, and get very little systemic benefit, if at all, in the zones you are not applying it. From what i've read from users, post-minoxidil shed occurs months after stopping use. Don't sweat it man, that's what I'd try to do. Whilst your at it, enjoy your holiday from it. Oh how I long to not have to apply stuff to my head one day. I forgot my finasteride on a 3 week vacation a while back, the number one thing on my list not to forget. Once I had come to terms with it, the best thing I could do was enjoy the vacation!
