Maybe give Saw Palmetto a try as it is herbal and supplement over the counter in the vitamin health food store and is touted as the holistic equivalent of Propecia though no scientific data backs that up as solid proof.

There won't ever be a study as saw palmetto can't be patented, so no one would pay for such a study.
