Acell+PRP doctors
I need some help from the experts on the forum here.
I have been doing research on the internet and have found that Dr Hitsig and Dr Cooley are foremost authority on ACell+PRP treatments. There are a lot of similarities in the treatments they offer. But what are the major differences in the treatments they offer? I want to know from people who considered these 2 doctors, how they finally decided on the one to work with.
Finally are there other doctors I should consider.
Appreciate the responses in advance

Dr Rassman in California offers a type of ACell treatment in conjunction with a transplant.

Dr. John Cole also has done quite a bit of research with acell and prp. He actually reports partial follicle regeneration of the donor area. There are other docs that use it in their practice that are members of the IAHRS. I'd contact the docs you're interested in to find out if they offer the treatment in their practice.

I had a transplant with Dr. Niedbalski in Tacoma, WA (not an IAHRS surgeon) that used PRP + ACell in the donor and recipient areas. I can't really report re: efficacy because it's impossible to isolate whether changes are due to surgery or the injections, but I know Dr. Niedbalski has a lot of faith in the treatment's utility. I believe he's done research with Dr. Cooley, though I can't swear to it.

Stick with someone in the IAHRS who does this. Dr. Cooley is the pioneer and Dr. Cole has also been using it for a long time now. Rassman does permanent scalp tattooing so it is difficult for me to really take him seriously and he's not in the IAHRS either.
As far as being the formost authority on PRP that would be Dr. Joseph Greco in Florida hands down and I think he uses something like ACell but made from your own body, so you should look into that.

Thank you for the replies. I really appreciate it.
Couple more questions.
1. From what I read, Dr Gary Hitsig did the initial research on using ACell for hair transplant and Dr Cooley collaborated with him later - CORRECT?.
2. What are the differences in the procedures that Dr Cooley and Dr Hitsig offer?
3. Because of #1, I am leaning towards Dr. Hitsig. Can the members here can think of any reasons against this?
4. I noticed that Dr Gary Hitsig a not a member of the IAHRS. Why?
Thanks

Dr. Hitzig has a notoriously bad reputation so he would never be accepted into the IAHRS. Most doctors are not accepted.

@EJJ
Didnt find much when I searched. Could you let me know what the issue was.
@Delphi
Just the fact that he is not member does not mean anything. A lot of other doctors like Dr Cole, Dr Neidbalski and Dr Greco are also not members. There are a handful of doctors who are members.
@EJJ and Delphi
Did any one of you have HT procedure done by Dr H? If you have more information on the dr, please share it with me. I searched the forums but didnt find a whole lot.
Appreciate your help.
