    Is there hope?

I have always had great hair!
I just got a hair cut. I video tapped the back of my head. Sadly, the thinning was larger than I thought.
The hair stylist gave me special shampoo to use. She said I have great hair and I have nothing to worry about. But that's not what I saw.

A hair transplantation Dr. told me for aroun 5K he could do some hair transplant that would really help. I am out of work and can't afford that for a long time.

I did start using rogain and propecea.

I am 48 years old. Is this something I have to live with and get used to or is there something that can really really fill in the thinning?

    thanks

You are doing the right hang taking Propecia, there is a strong chance that you will stop you hair loss. You might even grow some back. You are 48 and still have “good hair” according to your barber so be thankful that there is medicine now to help you keep it. You are probably throwing your money down the toilet with the shampoo and a hair transplant is a big deal so do not rush down that path, I almost did that and I glad I found this site. This is a great forum with the most knowledgeable people and doctors on the net just keep exploring and reading other stories. You should listen to Spencer kobren’s radio show on XM radio or by going to http://www.thebaldtruth.com/watch-live/ on Sunday nights. You can ask him what to do also. Good luck.
