Okay well I think a prospective patient has to post their pictures at a minimum in order to receive good advice. There is a shame factor associated with this industry and the industry uses it to their advantage. I feel a prospective patient needs to get somewhat past this in order to be a good candidate but that is just a personal opinion.

As far as the size of procedure you are considering and the risk that is involved I believe you have not done the required research. But everyone has to do what is best for them so I wish you well.

Yes topcat. everyone has to do what they think is best for them. As far as good advice is concerned, on the forums you can get good and bad advice. Visiting an Ht doc you can get good and bad advice. There is all kinds of advice out there. In the end you do your research and hopefully make the right choices. And I wish for you and all Ht patients the best of luck in their hair restoration journey. And thanks for your continual input.

If you read my thread carefully, I explained my proposal and the reasons it might be beneficial to someone to take me up on it. Might be laughable to you but it is serious to me. No harm done.

Have fine hair so it didn't so much. Went to Dr Umar for a consult last week. Said he could correct my situation and make me whole doing 7500 grafts over a 5 day period using whatever scalp hair I have maybe 1000 to 1500 and the rest beard and chest hair using Fue method. Front and crown would be covered with temple points and some beard hairs put into the ht scars from the fut's I had. He was confident it would turn out well. I believed him and would schedule the procedure except for one minor detail. At $8 a graft the cost would be $60,000. Unless I won the lottery there's no way. That's more income than my household takes in a year and beyond my means. So if any of the wealthy forum readers is considering an HT and you're high on the Norwood scale and not sure who to go to or trust I'm willing to be a guinea pig or test subject and go through the 5 day procedure with Umar and document with pictures and verbally each step of the way to the final look. You would just have to put up the 60k and sit back and watch. If 60k is no big deal to you it would be worth it. I'd be taking the physical risk. If I had the money I would do it. this might sound crazy but I'm giving it a shot. So that's my proposition to the forum. If interested we can be in contact privately.

So let me see here you want someone rich here to plunk down the cash for you for your own HT treatment as a guinea pig and if you are successful they get to watch the result before they do it ? And if it fails then doesn't that open the door for litigation against them for funding your treatment that may have been botched because the specialist with almost certainly make you sign a waiver against most claims and will more than likely be covered against malpractice litigation.. hmm. In either case should whoever decided to do this for you they would gain nothing and you would stand to gain everything at their expense.

No you are right there is no harm done. You only are doing harm to your own perception on the forums with this request.

It is just a ludricous question based on improbability to be perfectly honest seeing is that if someone was that wealthy more than likely they would not be on a forum such as this one.

They would have already flown themselves to a clinic in Europe after doing their own comprehensive research and had the procedure done themselves from an expensive specialist highly recommended in their own circles.

This particular forum is predominantly as a demographic ranged from working class to middle class blokes and in the age range from students to retirees. Paying for Minoxidil, RU, generic Propecia online which are quite accessible without being wealthy. In fact look at the number of posts and you will see people who had to discontinue their regimen based on expense or have complained about how expensive x and y is in receiving the treatments that they have been keeping up with.

And if even there were a rich person lurking on the forums here do you actually think he would take your proposition seriously ? Really ? Or that he would not see it even remotely as a hustle and that this is an angle to have the wool sheared from him like a dumb sheep ? I am thinking they would think the latter not knowing you from a hole in the wall as an anonymous person on a forum board. No person with common sense rich or otherwise trusts a stranger met on the internet with a large sum of their money in a venture that only helps out the stranger. That is where the P.T. Barnum credited phrase a " sucker is born every minute" came about.
