Or, is it just quite possible, that after all the pain, and $$$, they have ver little to show for the efforts?

It is possible, but it's a Dr K patient. Considering his reputation on the internet and the extra $$ he undoubtedly paid for his HT, I doubt that's the situation.

So, let's see the results!
I keep reading, on OTHER websites about guys investing many thousands of $$$, and in the end, are dissatisfied, since they never get the head of hair back that they dream of. So either expectations are unrealistic, or the idea of rearranging what once covered 1/3-1/2 of your head, is now covering all of it... doesn't work.

Having just undergone a second HT I can.tell you that you can't generalize when determining whether to get a HT. You have to factor in how bald you are now, how many HT's will be necessary to look the way you want, and what goal you have in mind as it pertains to the look of your hair. For me personally, having some hair on my head, even if it's still thin in the crown, would be better than no hair at all.
If you can pull off the shaved head look, don't mind being completely bald, or can handle just having a horse shoe for hair then a HT is not for you. I just couldn't accept looking in a mirror and seeing no hair.

You are lucky enough as you got your hairs back.

interested to know how the transplanted hairs effect the existing ones. as if they surgeon managed to preserve existing hairs, the additional implanted hairs will look even better
