Some theories point to excess fat found in Western Diets. I suppose this could make sense as fats are needed in hormone production, as I'm sure you know.

well I had no idea, and my diet is really rich in fats. I never considered changing it since I think fatty foods are so tasty and I never seem to gain much weight even if I take around 3000 calories a day.
but maybe this is not all related to the diet, we are exposed to more chemicals and even more wireless signals (such as base stations, even the internet is in the air!). It might be crazy but I think things like that can also contribute to your hair loss, no need to mention, to your overall health as well.
