    Default 23, Thinning/balding? Help plz

Hi, Im currently 23 and have been experiencing hair loss and thinning for about 1 year-1 1/2 years. I first started noticing it when friends and family started asking if I was going bald or was my hair thinning. Since I started hearing this, I started Rogaine in hopes it would help...I got a mix of the generic one and the brand name one... As for if it works, I really cannot say. Some days it would feel like it was working, while others it felt like my hair looked the same/worse. I do remember that after a while I wouldn't put it on as religiously as I should and slacked off...I'm hoping this was the case and that it will start working again, but i do know for a fact that my hair looks a lot more thin since when it first started thinning. I'm experiencing the thinning on the crown and the front of my head. The sides and back seem to be fine.

I'm here to look for some help/advice on what I can do to get the thinning/balding to stop and to start getting my hair to regrow to the thickness it once was. I'm not sure what level or how bad the thinning is and not sure if and when or how soon ill be bald. Thanks for reading, and I'm also going to include some pictures that I took recently of the loss/thinning. If anyone can say what kind of thinning this is or even how bad it is, I'd be very thankful.

Edit: I obviously dont wear my hair out like the pics show, I parted my hair in the middle to show the thinning.

"how bad it is" is relative to what it once was. Regardless, I will assume you know the density it once was and can assess. I actually parted my hair in a similar fashion to try and assess, and also noticed the first 1/2 inch from the front hairline was where the real damage was. Frontal and temporal lobes of your head are what are hit hardest if you have hairloss due to stress (according to my derm). In light of that, the fact that your crown is thinned considerably makes me think you really should see a derm about a formal diagnosis and treatments. Understand that blood and/or biopsy tests might be suggested/necessary dependent on the derm (for your own good).

If you're serious about propecia (or any treatment for that matter), it would be wise to have a script (vesus ordering online, in my opinion).. and having a derm to monitor you.

front is thinning as is crown but it s not that bad. with the minox it works well when youve hair no matter how thin in an area. its impossible to get it from a bald spot i think.

your best bet is propecia mate, but thing is with propecia, once you take it, even hair that wasnt affected is now because propecia strengthens hair all over. but take your time, decide whats best and read all there is before making a decision. propecia is the most effective though.

Thanks for the reply, I actually started taking pictures (weekly) so I can see if whatever I'm doing now is working or not. I have a question about Procepia because it is something that I am considering.. To attain a scipt you would obviously have to go to the doctor...Do I go to a normal clinic? or do I find a specialist/dermatologist? Just trying to find out my options to begin the meds. And as for ordering online..Do you or anyone have any suggestions on (trustful) websites I can check out? Just trying to see what would be best for my wallet.

As I stated above, I'm thinking about taking Procepia. Thanks for the help.

I'm assuming minox is just rogaine? I am currently using that (as well as the generic one). Should that suffice for minox?

I also just started to take vitamins.

    -Flax Seed Oil 1000
    - Tripple Strength Omega Complex
-Healthy Hair Forula (10,000 of biotin per serving)
    - Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000
    - B1
    -and some Saw Palmetto

    all one pill a day.

I'm hoping these would help with the process.
